The Society's office will be opening to the public on Wednesdays and Fridays from June 8th.

We are trying to improve the assistance we provide to the many queries we receive, either from the UK and the world or, specifically, from the Basque Country. Now, we are finally able to take some steps on that direction. You will be able to contact us in our office, be it on the phone or with Skype, before you even come to the UK, or to come in for some advice on finding work or accommodation, to use our computers in the office if required, or to talk about any other matters that might arise while you stay in London or the UK.
Although the experiences of these last years have given us a solid background when dealing with these kinds of issues above mentioned, we have always seen the room and the need for an improvement. We are seeking to achieve this improvement, first, by having a person available in the office, and then, by improving the information we provide (assistencial > providing relevant and accurate information about finding a job and accommodation in London, about Social Security and Tax issues, learning English or Euskara, etc). As it is, and despite all the years dealing with matters of this sort, it is only now we can start to bring this project ahead and we will have to learn more and improve our services as we move along. We hope you will understand that. We will try our best with the resources we have.
These sorts of queries we have talked about, are by no means the only ones we receive. There has been a lot more, and it would just take too long to see it all, but we would ask you to keep contacting us if you want to find out more about the Society's activities or to suggest one yourself, if you wish to join any of them or to attend any of our parties or reunions, or, if you are in the Basque Country thinking of coming to stay in London. Likewise, our non-Basque friends and collaborators are, as ever, welcome.
